Franken P

In order.....

#1- Samick P Bass - Black with white pickguard. This was my first bass and I wish I still had it now. Sold it to a fellow by the name of Dirty ole' Gary.

#2- Yamaha RBX ??? - Not sure of the exact model number. This 4 string bass had a passive P/J setup with a transparent light blue finish. Not a bad bass.

#3- Peavey Cirrus BXP 5 String - 18Volt active bass. Excellent build quality. Played and sounded very nice. Cons: Chewed through 9V batteries like crazy. It was really hard to find strings long enough. (Because of the extra long scale and string through body design.). Sold it to my friend Raj.

#4- Peavey Grind 6 - Passive neck-through six string. This was a GAS purchase. Six string bass wasn't for me. It didn't help that this bass was IMO piece of crap (though it looks nice in the pics). No sustain, dull flat sound and a splitery body rout. I actually sanded the neck and body and re-oiled with linseed oil. Sold this bass in a hurry.

#5- Lakland 55-02 - 5 String Lakland bass with a MM/J pickup configuration. This is one of the best basses I've owned. Any sound from a Fender Jazz to a Music Man. Sustain was ridiculous! Action was the lowest I've seen. Do to an annoying buzz when playing in my apartment, I spent about 4 hours shielding and re-wiring this bass. I've since sold the bass to Kirk from Shaydid.

#6- My FrankenP Bass made mostly from ebay parts. Duncan Quarter Pounder Pickup Hipshot Tuners Badass II Bridge Fender Precision Neck and Body (Mexico) Fender Gearhead USA Pickguard Allparts Pots Orange drop capacitor in the tone circuit

#7- 80's CHarvel Model 2B Bass. Made in Japam.
#8- 2008 Fender USA Precision Standard. Sunburst finish. The best bass I've ever owned!

Here is a wiring diagram for a Lakland LH-3 preamp.   Right now,  I don't thing you will find this anywhere else on the web.  Click here to download the LH-3 wiring PDF.

I am posting this information for anyone who is looking for the service manual/schematic for this preamp.  I've looked everywhere for the schematic and the best match that I can find is the GP12 X Series 6 Preamp.  All the vaules appear to be correct except the value of R78, which is 100 Ohm on my board and there is no tube circuit.
